The past year brought about many challenges, all of which were overcome by resilience and perseverance. We look forward to continuing our mission.

The San Diego Delta Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit charitable organization founded by professional African American women in 1999. The Foundation launched the Leadership Development Intern Program in 2000. The first Rites of Passage Ceremony was held in 2002.
The San Diego Delta Foundation, Inc., is committed to assisting in the development of future female leaders. Our target population for this three (3) year program is African-American females in grades ten through twelve who are college-bound and have aspirations of leadership. Over a six month period each year, these ambitious young ladies participate in a series of leadership development and enrichment activities.
Empowering Young Women to be Leaders.
Over a six month period each year, these ambitious young ladies known as Interns participate in a series of leadership development and enrichment activities that include seminars, workshops, social and cultural events, community service and mentoring to help strengthen personal growth and development.
Whether you help through monetary donations or volunteering your time, thank you. Over the past seventeen years the Foundation has mentored over 200 young ladies and awarded over $400,000 in incentive awards, academic grants and laptop computers , thanks to the financial generosity of the San Diego community, corporations, and individuals as well as our own members.
